Seeing an opportunity to promote sustainable energy sources and environmental conservation, this project aims to install efficient electrical services for more than 40 low-income rural households in Peru.
Launched at the end of 2019, this ongoing project has already funded the construction and installation of eco-efficient stoves and solar panels. By curbing the need for wood, gas, and charcoal, this initiative has reduced CO2 emissions and the rate of local deforestation.
The Peru Project is also mobilising men and women in local communities to participate in installing and maintaining the solar panels.
